Jowat 236.70 is a PO (Polyolefin) hotmelt for wrapping of profiles made of solid wood, particleboard and MDF, with resinated paper foils, CPL and thermoplastic foils. It exhibits long open time, high hot tack, good adhesion and very good heat resistance; excellent resistance to oxidation and colour stability in the melt. Can be processed on automatic units with slot nozzle and roller.
Processing temperature [°C]: 180 – 200
Feed speed [m/min]: 15 – 80
Appearance: light yellow
Density at 20 °C [g/cm³]: approx. 0.89 ± 0.03 (Jowat test method)
Softening range [°C]: approx. 110 ± 5 (Kofler bench)
Open time at 200 °C [s]: approx. 12 ± 2 (Jowat test method)
Preliminary cleaning while hot by scraping with a spatula. Remove any residues when cold with Jowat® Cleaner 402.40.
Viscosity at 200 °C [mPas]: 21,000 ± 2,500 (Brookfield, Thermosel, spindle 28, 20 rpm)
