SIP And Panel Manafacture Adhesives

ECT Adhesives are partnered with Apollo Adhesive Solutions as their official Irish representative and bring to the market the complete range of their manufactured products.

Apollo Adhesives have been developing lamination adhesives specifically designed for the construction of structural insulated panels (SIPs) and architectural panels for over 40 years. Our range of single-component and two-component polyurethane adhesives has been developed by Apollo’s expert chemists, utilising their vast experience in the market place. Each adhesive will securely bond a wide range of construction products and materials, including most metals, timber, most types of insulation (EPS, PIR and XPS) and un-plasticised PVC (uPVC).

Apollo's Volumetric Modular and Pod Manufacturing Adhesives are proven to bond a wide range of materials, including steel, plastic, wood, gypsum board, OSD, GRC and concrete. Each adhesive has excellent water, heat and solvent resistance, as well as gap-filling properties.

Roofing Adhesives

ECT Adhesives are partnered with Manufacturers such as Apollo Adhesive Solutions, Tremco Illbruck and Sanglier to bring to the market a range of products to assist with bonding and sealing roofing systems.

The product offering includes EPDM primers and adhesives both brush on and spray on, PVC based sealer to prevent moisture and chemical ingress on foam based materials used in external applications as well as a number of speciality Lead and Bituminous sealant products.

Flooring Adhesives

ECT Adhesives offer a number of products from our partners Tremco illbruck and Sanglier aimed specifically at the installation of floor coverings such as Carpets with various backings, LVT and PVC floor coverings to a variety of substrates including Flooring Grade Plywood, OSB Board, Hardboard, Concrete etc.

Air Tightness Product Range

The airtightness of a dwelling, or its air permeability, is expressed in terms of air leakage in cubic meters per hour per square meter of the dwelling envelope area when the building is subjected to a differential pressure of 50 Pascals (m3/(h.m2) @ 50Pa). The dwelling envelope area is defined in this context as the total area of all floors, walls and ceilings bordering the dwelling, including elements adjoining other heated or unheated spaces. Air leakage is defined as the flow of air through gaps and cracks in the building fabric. Uncontrolled air leakage increases the amount of heat loss as warm air is displaced through the envelope by colder air from outside. Air leakage of warm damp air through the building structure can also lead to condensation within the fabric (interstitial condensation), which reduces insulation performance and causes fabric deterioration.
